The Singapore Idol is on... Everyone had tuned in to watch the 2 guys, Sylvester Sim (aka SLY!) and Taufik Batisah's performances... it was an anxious nite as the 1st Singapore idol is coming out...
They gave their best shot and sang well... Sly sang An jing-- by Jay chow.. & "I dream" and another song...(can't remember the name...) "I dream" was also sang by Taufik... comparing both, i tink Sly sang it in a different way... both of them got their style... but i tink Sly sang it better... Taufik oso sang, Me and Mrs Jones, and one more song, i dunno the title..
All the previous singapore idols came to perform... Maia, Olinda, Beverly, Jessea, Daphne, Christopher, Jerry, and David... they gave their supports to both contestants...
Judges gave comments as Sly can sing both chinese and English songs... and Ken said, "u've got the X-factor.." and it seems like he got a brighter future compared to Taufik..
When the sms-es for voting the idols stopped.. they came out to sing their last song on stage... before the announcing of the results... everyone's anxious abt the results... but just before tat, gurmit singh(the host) keep bringing us to commercial break..and keep the audience in suspense... all of us is thinking.. Who is the winner for tonight..? will it be Sly or Taufik... but gurmit keep saying, "i'll announce the 1st Singapore idol right after the break."
Finally... the results of the Singapore idol is out...! and the winner is TAUFIK..! Sly sounds kind of sad, though... well... he certainly have lots of fans... but many bcoz b4 tat, to get him to the finals, his fans already spent all $$ to vote him in and now not enuf $ to push him thru to the world's idol, i guess... to end the show, they sang, the song, "I Dream"...
Both the contestants got the 1 yr contract from BMG and Taufik is launching his album soon... so stay closely to the latest news..
Anyway, Congrats to Taufik and Sylvester...
